Easter Egg Dying

On Saturday night when Nana and Papa were  here we dyed Easter Eggs.  Talan had never really gotten to do this hands on so he was really excited to be participating.  He did such a great job being patient and calm.  His favorite color to use was the red.  He kept wanting to put the eggs in the red dye.
Here Talan is watching Papa take his egg out of the cup.  I think Talan isn't too sure if it is red enough with the looks of his body language.
Now the egg is perfect!
Talan waiting patiently for his egg to get darker.  He kept putting the wire thing in and trying to get the egg out.  He never really figured out how to do it on his own.

Dinosaur Party

Saturday was Talan's birthday party and he wanted dinosaurs on his cake so the theme was dinosaurs.  Justin's family came in from Nebraska and my side of the family came up.  Cousins from college even came home!  We had beautiful weather and a great time!  Talan once again was greatly loved with gifts.  He got a tool bench, trike, Elmo Live, dinosaur tent, adorable clothes, and many other wonderful things!  Thanks to everyone for making Talan's day so special!

Justin on the Wall

A couple weeks ago our school did a fundraiser to raise money for foster children.  The kids really got into it because the grade level that raised the most money got to duck tape Justin to the wall.  I am sorry to say that kindergarten did not accomplish that but we did get to watch the third graders tape him to the wall.  It was great to see this!  Justin was a great sport!

Disney On Ice

For Talan's second birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Dennis got Talan tickets to go see Disney on Ice.  He loves Mickey Mouse so it was perfect.  When we got there we were taken to our seats and found out that we were 2 feet from the ice!  Talan loved it!  He really enjoyed the pirates from Peter Pan.  He sat is total amazement the entire show.  He was perfect and still talks about it a week later!  Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa!

Tinkerbell came right and blew a kiss to Talan and he was having nothing to do with her.  He was more interested in the pirates that were skating around.

Talan's 2!

Can you believe that Talan is already two?!  Justin and I can hardly believe that he has blessed for two year already.  Grandpa and Grandma Dennis got him Disney on Ice tickets for his birthday and we took him to that last night.  He loved it.  We will upload those pictures this weekend.  His birthday party is Saturday so we will have pictures from that as well!

Colorado

Two weeks ago we went to Colorado for a short family vacation.  We went tubing, swimming, skiing, shopping, etc.  We made the most of our time and had a great experience.  Talan really enjoyed himself.  While Justin and I skied during the day Grandma, Aunt Jill, and Aunt Penny kept him.  They would bring him to the ski resort in the morning to play in the snow and sled and then back to the condo for an afternoon of swimming and a nap.  Thank you so much all three of you for the help!  Talan really enjoyed it and it!
We went tubing the first night we were there and Talan decided he wanted to go.  Justin and I weren't sure at first but Talan kept saying, "I go" so we took him.  He loved it!
Lunch break back at the condo on the second day of skiing.
Justin and I stopped on one of the runs for a picture.  It was so pretty up there.  We had perfect weather!
Talan getting ready to go play in the snow.  The resort had a kids area with a big snow mound with tunnels inside of it and a sledding hill.  He spent most of his time on top of the snow mound.  I will try to upload those pictures later.
